35 years of boat ownership and boat maintenance. I've installed, cleaned and replaced dozens of bilge pumps.
I bought four of these, from Walmart, for $28 each, plus tax, to replace the old bilge pumps and our sailboat. I put the first one in our port head and tested it, and it would not pump the water out. It would come on, but the water levels stayed the same. I disconnected the hose blew through the hose with my mouth to make sure it wasn't clogged and it was completely clear. I turned on the pump while it was disconnected from the hose, and very very very lightly put my finger over the pump discharge and It stopped. It was a very weak pump. I literally could've stopped it up with one single piece of wet toilet paper. I reversed polarity, no change, I checked the voltage; 13.5v. So, I thought well maybe this one was a bad pump. Let me try one of the other ones. I went through the exact same scenario again with the 2nd pump. To be a 600 gallon per hour pump, It needs to pump water. My discharge hose only has to pump up approximately 18 inches and two brand new pumps would not pump out perfectly clean water through a clean hose up 18 inches. They just spin around and around and around. How is your company going to fix this? $120 of critical boat equipment that can sink boats when they are made this faulty.
